Cancellation of residency in the UAE for employees
If you are an employee in one of the public or private sectors in the Emirates, you must follow the following steps:
Submit a request to cancel the employee’s employment contract and labor card at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
The application is signed by the employer and employee.
Attach the request to a letter signed by the employee confirming that he has received all his salaries, benefits, and end of service from the company.
After completing the cancellation process by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the sponsor can submit a request to cancel the residence visa before the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the relevant emirate.
Cancellation of residency in the UAE for investors
If you reside in the country using investor residency, the steps are different, as you must follow the following steps:
Cancellation of the residency permits of all individuals residing in the Emirates based on your sponsorship.
Visit the nearest Amer center to you
Submit all official documents and papers related to the application, including the passport of the sponsor and sponsored person, and a cancellation permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to the customer service employee.
Pay the service fees.
Documents required to cancel residency in the UAE
A cancellation request form signed by the sponsor must be submitted and if the sponsor is a company or facility, the application must include the signature and seal of the company, along with a letter of clearance and completion of procedures by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the sponsored person's original passport must also be valid and attached to the application, in addition to the sponsored person's original ID card and if the sponsored person is outside the country, he must bring the original passport or a copy of the residence visa electronically.

As for the fees, they range between 10-100 dirhams, depending on the place from which you cancel your residency.
